Until recently, the only option for adults to complete a high school education was a general equivalency diploma (GED). BJC employees have the opportunity to receive a high school diploma from the University of Missouri (MU) High School, a unique way for adults to finish their high school requirements. The MU High School program allows adult students to take the classes they did not successfully complete in high school.
The program offers 150 classes including math, language arts, foreign languages, science, computer science, history, social studies and more. The program is offered completely online for the convenience of working adults.
The employee student will receive an actual high school diploma from an accredited institution. A diploma from MU High School is the same as a diploma from any other accredited high school, and will be accepted by any college across the country.

How to get your high school diploma at BJC:
- Any BJC employee who does not have a high school diploma is eligible to participate
- The cost of the classes is covered by BJC’s tuition reimbursement policy
- A CLL program manager will work with the employee student to set goals for completing courses
- Employees can complete each one-semester course in as little as six weeks or as long as nine months
- Employees with little or no computer experience will have the support they need with a computer lab assistant to help employees with computer skills and submitting coursework online
