The Center for LifeLong Learning Advisement Center

To help you determine career goals, the Center for LifeLong Learning now offers an advisement process.

Why does BJC offer this service?

BJC is interested in growing and retaining an effective workforce to meet the increasing demand for healthcare workers. BJC also believes in investing in its employees and giving them the tools to succeed.

How will career advisement benefit me?

  • Learn which careers that are "best-fit" for your unique skills and talents
  • Create an individualized career plan to help you grow into the job of your dreams
  • Discover the special career-growth options avaliable to you as a BJC employee
  • Work with a career-coach to hone your skills

What should I expect?

  • The Advisement Center will contact you within 72 hours, to conduct a short telephone interview.
  • Once you have been accepted into the program, your advisor will provide access to two special survey tools used to help you discover what kinds of careers you would be most likely to enjoy pursuing.
  • Using a computer with internet access, you will be expected to complete the Skill Profiler and Career Orientation Inventory (the CLL will provide technical assistance, if needed).
  • Your advisor will get a report once you have completed the two online surveys, and will contact you to set-up an advisement session to discuss your results and help you create a personalized career development plan.
